The astonishing power of simple rules of thumb
I feel like once you start your journey into productivity and self-improvement, there is so much to learn and remember.
How to have the correct posture, be present, write fast, conquer fears, get well in social situations, focus, learn in general, not being overwhelmed. There is a lot of these “life skills” that we should sort of always apply to be our best selves.
But imagine yourself at 5 pm, after a hard day of work. You are so tired so pretty much anything goes. And whips 3 hours simply disappeared bingeing, tensing up and overall find ourselves miserable afterward. Where is that remembering to be your best self coming from?
That happens especially to me during certain periods of the day. Usually, after meals, I am little bit more full and just want to do the easiest thing I can possibly do.
And yes I totally agree that habits are the answer and the most sustainable approach but we need to form these habits and that can take up to 256 days if we are unlucky.
So in order to speed up all of that I’ve experimented with a solution that has worked unbelievably well for me so far and hopefully can help you as well.
That solution is using rules of thumb.
