Welcome back, so happy to see you again and after 3 months of waiting, I was finally invited to try out Tana, the notetaking app that everyone is hyped for. I have to say, I’m extremely impressed myself of what it can do, despite being early access.

I have now tested out how good Tana is for the more effortless style of notetaking that I prefer and found 7 benefits but also 4 drawbacks for Tana in its current stage. By the end of this article, I’ll give you my honest conclusion on whether this is the perfect app for you.

Benefit 1. Today page

If you happen to be a user of Roam Research; you will definitely be familiar with Tana.

Whenever you open the website, you get to today’s note. From there you can make nodes, which are their equivalent to notes. You can click on each node and it becomes its own page, plus the back links and all that stuff.
