Be 90% less stressed with this simple mindset shift.
Recently, I’ve noticed a disturbing pattern in how I performed my daily activities every day.
When I woke up, I was secretly looking forward to the time to write. When it was time to write, I was looking forward to being finished and ready to work out. When working out, same. All the way from regular work sessions, meals, recreation, and even before sleep, I always anticipated the next moment over this moment.
In other words, whatever I did, I always wanted it to be finished so I could move over to the next one.
This is problematic because of resisting the present moment and looking for something that does not exist. I’m here but want to be there all the time.
We can call this phenomenon stress.
Once I embraced being fully here in whatever I did, everything changed
The current activity is no longer something to be done with. It’s rewarding in itself. I’ve noticed a huge drop in stress levels in my case. Even if I was late, I always made sure to pay attention to this moment instead of thinking of all the bad things that could possibly happen.
So if you feel stressed from time to time, I believe this mindset shift could solve the underlying cause. When you fully accept this moment, you can notice opportunities never seen before. Plus feeling a lightness in body and mind.
After all, now is the only time that exists.
